Terence Lavelle, a convicted paedophile, cautioned an underage girl to “be careful” due to the presence of “suspicious individuals” on social media, then attempting to arrange a meeting for sexual purposes, as presented in court.
Terence Lavelle, residing on Welbeck Road in Walker, has received a 14-month prison sentence after being deceived by the online paedophile hunters known as Dark Justice.
The 50-year-old initiated communication with an individual he believed to be a 15-year-old girl in October 2017 after reaching out to her on the social networking platform Qeep.
The fraudulent profile ‘Katie’ disclosed her age as merely 15 years in her second message.
But after initially telling her that he was “a good guy, unlike most” and would “hate anything to happen to her”, the content of Terence Lavelle’s messages quickly turned sexual.
