Jordan Blenkinship, a paedophile, has been incarcerated following a series of historical sexual assaults against a minor. The acts committed by Jordan Blenkinship originated in 2009, when he was 17 years old and his victim was merely four years old.
The 32-year-old perpetrated sexual assault against the little girl over a duration of two years, as presented in court. His reprehensible conduct were first revealed in 2010, following a disclosure from an acquaintance of the victim to the authorities. He was apprehended in March 2010, although refuted the allegations throughout his interrogation by detectives.
In 2019, over a decade later, the victim emerged to assist a police probe into Jordan Blenkinship’s actions. She expressed a desire to empower individuals who have endured similar experiences and to convey to other young people facing similar challenges that it is never too late to come forward and seek justice for the abuse she previously suffered.
The victim reported the abuse inflicted by Jordan Blenkinship, leading to his arrest in October 2019. He reiterated his denial of the acts; nonetheless, due to the evidence presented, authorities were able to establish 10 distinct charges for sexual offences against the girl.
After a one-week trial at Manchester Crown Court, Jordan Blenkinship, residing on Livingstone Road, Blackpool, has been convicted of several counts of sexual assault and sexual assault by penetration involving a girl under the age of 13.
He received a six-year prison sentence and a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order with stringent limitations.
Detective Constable Callum Shackleton, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Jordan Blenkinship has absolutely no remorse for the physical and mental trauma he has subjected the victim to, he is the worst kind of predator, and he is now behind bars and will no longer pose as a threat to children.
“His arrest and subsequent conviction is only the start of the healing process for the victim of his despicable crimes who I hope with the right support will be able to move forwards with her life.
“I would like to thank the girl who came forward and speaking to us, she is a survivor and has showed unwavering strength to come forward and work closely with us on this case.
“We are acutely aware that today’s sentencing does in no way make up for what Jordan Blenkinship has subjected her to, but we hope they can draw some comfort from the fact that he is now off the streets.
“We would encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault, regardless of how much time has passed or knows someone who has been a victim, to get in touch with us.”
