Eastbourne Nonces

Eastbourne has a population of 104,000; of that, approximately 1000 are Eastbourne Nonces. That is 1 in every 100 people of 18 years or over. Think about how many people you walk past when shopping in Eastbourne Town Centre on average.

Sussex police receive approximately 5000 reports of sexual assaults per year. Out of the 5000, 1700 were rapes reported by women to Sussex police and out of those 1700 reports, only 22 convictions arose.

So what makes an Eastbourne Nonce want to rape a child?

Eastbourne nonces are likely to be known to you; they will not seem out of the ordinary and will likely have been offending for a long time without being caught or prosecuted.

Almost 87,000 sexual offences against children were recorded by police in the past year, with just over 6000 convictions. As stated, 85% of nonces have no previous criminal record, and the police are unaware of them before arrest.

There is no such thing as a “typical nonce.”

It can be challenging to grasp how ordinary people could have sexual ideas or actions directed at youngsters. Furthermore, lacking is a typical “pathway” to becoming someone who sexually mistreats youngsters. Any gender, young or old, pretty or not, successful or striving to get by—people who sexually abuse children can be. Their most frequent resemblance is having earlier in life undergone physical, sexual, or emotional abuse.

A minority of Paedophiles (10%) will sexually assault minors.

Paedophilia is a mental health diagnosis for someone with an ongoing, exclusive sexual desire towards youngsters. Of those who offended, around ten per cent are paedophiles. Most people who sexually transgress either live in the family or extended family/friend setting and might also have adult sexual interactions.

The causes for paedophile offending

  • Some people find that various problems in their lives lead them to be sexually inclined towards children.
  • Certain lack the social skills required to establish friendships with peers.
  • Some pour their frustration out on a small child. A job loss or a divorce causes stress; they turn to a child to fulfil emotional and sexual demands.
  • In other spheres of their lives, they feel powerless or out of control and seek children to help them restore authority and power.
  • Some people have sex with children because of misunderstandings about them:
  • They misinterpret children’s affection as sexual or think that showing their love to them would be suitable by sexual means.
  • Children are, to them, their peers.
  • They reassure themselves of statements like “Age is meaningless” or “They’re mature for their age.”
  • Their family looked to one where sexual assault was “normal” growing up.
  • They see child sexual abuse material and believe “everyone is doing it.”
  • Some people are sexual with children because they act impulsively or seize a chance: they are changing diapers and touching a child.
  • They interact with a youngster while she sleeps.
  • Finding themselves alone with a child makes them excited since they have been taking drugs or alcohol.
  • Most of those who mistreat children sexually desire to quit.
  • Often, those who sexually abuse children are profoundly unhappy about what they are doing and realise it is wrong. Many adults on the Stop It Now! Helpline confesses to wanting to stop but not knowing how. Their sense of control is lost. Though they want help, they worry about the repercussions. All the secrets and falsehoods have worn them out.
  • If you know or suspect an Eastbourne nonce, report them to the police, and do not be put off. Keep on pushing to get the justice the Eastbourne Nonce’s victims deserve.
