A dangerous paedophile, Fenton Clapp of Tiverton has been jailed.
One victim, in an impact statement delivered to the court, claimed Clapp’s activities had left her terrified and feeling manipulated.
Said another victim: “I have so many scars from that man. That evening came back to me because he couldn’t keep his hands to himself. He is never going to change. I expect he will cover all he has done.
Detectives also found through careful phone investigation that Clapp had a notable trade supplying cocaine, MDMA, and ketamine.
Detective Constable Andrew Stacey said: “We welcome the sentence, which would not have been possible without the victims’ courage and support throughout the investigation.”
“Clapp is a deceptive and dangerous young man devoid of any respect for the people he injured. Probation services sent a negative pre-sentence report, which the judge approved and which led in Clapp receiving further prison time.
“As the victims in this case go forward with their lives, I hope the sentencing result brings a sense of closure for all of them.”
Fenton Clapp acknowledged 13 crimes in all, including sexual activity with a kid, assault by penetration and obtaining obscene pictures of a child.
Sentenced at Exeter Crown Court, the 20-year-old was also found guilty of stealing and concern for the supply of Class A and B narcotics.
He was included on the Sex Offenders Register and handed a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Clapp likewise received six restraining orders.
Clapp was sentenced on April 30.
