Croydon Paedophile Grant Venamore has been incarcerated for many sexual assaults against children in Tunbridge Wells and Paddock Wood that commenced in the 1990s. Grant Venamore received a 16-year prison sentence for the rape and abuse of two victims, one of whom was assaulted at the age of four.
Grant Venamore was apprehended in August 2020, following the initial accusations of abuse received by Kent Police. A later investigation disclosed his accountability for a series of violations extending over 15 years.
Grant Venamore, residing on London Road in Croydon, refuted any allegations of misconduct, leading to the trial at Maidstone Crown Court. He was unanimously convicted on 11 counts pertaining to the sexual abuse of minors, including several instances of rape.
On June 18, 2024, Judge Philip Statman classified Grant Venamore as a dangerous offender due to his involvement in ‘chronic, brutal sexual abuse.’ The 48-year-old was informed that he must serve a minimum of two-thirds of his prison sentence prior to being eligible for parole consideration.
Upon his ultimate release from custody, he will be subject to an extended licence period of three years and an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
