After an investigation by Thames Valley Police, paedophile Rory Penhallow has been sentenced to imprisonment for sexual offences in Bicester.

Rory Penhallow, 29, of Cedar Drive, Bicester, has been sentenced to five years and three months in prison.

Rory Penhallow admitted admission to four charges of arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child under 13 and two charges of violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The violation of the Sexual Harm Prevention Order occurred when Rory Penhallow admitted guilt to the creation of obscene photos of a minor. He received a six-month prison term, suspended for 24 months, for this offence at Oxford Crown Court on 11 January of this year.

Detective Constable Rachel Edmunds, the investigating officer, stated: “Thames Valley Police possessed intelligence indicating that Rory Penhallow was engaged in sexual communications and subsequently confiscated his phone.”

“Upon examining Rory Penhallow’s mobile phone, it was discovered between 8 March 2022 and 20 January 2023 he had been engaging in sexual communications via WhatsApp and requested indecent images, videos and live video calls of children in exchange for payment.

“Rory Penhallow was arrested on 2 July this year. Upon his arrest, Penhallow was in possession of a laptop which was seized and identified that he was using Mega and Dropbox Cloud Storage applications, in breach of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order when he was convicted earlier this year for making indecent images of a child.

“Rory Penhallow was charged with arrange or facilitate the sexual exploitation of a child under 13 and breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order on the same day he was arrested.

“I’m pleased that Rory Penhallow has now been convicted and jailed for his crimes.

Rory Penhallow was arrested and charged on 2 July this year, pleaded guilty to the offences on 16 August and was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on 22 November.
